Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the Student Teams Achievement Division(STAD) type cooperative learning model on learning motivation in class XII economics subjects at SMA Negeri8 Jambi City. This type of research is field research with an associative hypothesis approach and quantitativemethods. The research results show that the application of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD)learning model has a significant influence on learning motivation. Thus, there is a positive influence betweenthe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model on student motivation in the economics subjectclass XII IPS at SMA Negeri 8 Kota Jambi.
