Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the brainstorming method to learning outcomes, to determine student learning outcomes, and to determine the effect of the brainstorming method on student learning outcomes. This research uses a quantitative approach, experiment types one group pretest-postest design. The results of this study show 1.) The application of the brainstorming method begins with giving pretest questions, then giving a posttest and questionnaire. 2.) The use of the brainstorming method is very influential on the learning outcomes of students in class XI MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 14 Makassar marked by the acquisition of the average value of students' pretest is 51.61 and the acquisition of the average value of students' posttest is 82.42 3.) to find out whether there is an effect of the brainstorming method on student learning outcomes, the researcher conducted a hypothesis test. Based on the paired sample t-test hypothesis test, it is known that the asymp. Sign. of 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the application of the brainstorming method has an influence on the learning outcomes of students in the Islamic Religious Education class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 14 Makassar.
