Abstract

Mental attitude and behavior that always has the view that the work being carried out today must be of higher quality than the implementation of past work, for the future it will be of higher quality than at present is the scope of performance. Many factors affect performance including education, training, and competence of human resources. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive method. The population of this study w as all members of the Pakpak Bharat Police, totaling 196 people. This study used a sample of 25% of the population, namely 49 people. Data analysis tools consist of multiple regression analysis, partial test, simultaneous test, and determination test. The result of this research is that partially and simultaneously education, training, and competence of human resources affect the performance of members of the Pakpak Bharat Criminal Investigation Unit. Institutions are advised to accept police candidates should look at the candidates' special talents, interests, and potentials needed by the institution through academic or non-academic achievements. Institutions are advised to impose strict sanctions on trainees who are not present at the time of training and seek qualified instructors, provide materials tailored to the needs of the institution, and training methods tailored to the abilities of the trainees. Institutions are advised to select and prepare police candidates who have advantages in the form of knowledge, specific skills, potential, talent values under the character, and goals of the institution.
