Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financing in Islamic banking on economic growth. The case studies were conducted across 13 countries from 2010 to 2015 using the Panel GMM. The results of this study indicate that financing, especially financial depth in Islamic banking has a positive influence on economic growth. These results reaffirmed the need for full support from the government to further develop Islamic banking.

Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi panel dinamis dengan metode Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) yang disarankan oleh Arellano-Bond (1991). Dipilihnya metode GMM ini karena nilai dari return saham yang cepat sekali mengalami perubahan dan adanya kemungkinan bahwa nilai return saham dipengaruhi oleh variable lain maupun variabel return saham sendiri pada periode waktu yang berbeda.
