Abstract

Learning media is a communication tool used to convey learning material from teachers to students. Video is an audiovisual media that displays motion and contains messages in the form of facts. The purpose of this study was to determine how the influence of the use of instructional video media on student learning outcomes in the subject of Computer Systems Class X Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ). The research method used is a quantitative approach, with a Quasi experimental research type. The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group design. The location of this research is SMK Negeri 1 Rambah Samo. The sample in this study was class X Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) as the experimental group and class XII Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) as the control group. The sampling technique in this study using purposive sampling. For data collection techniques using tests. Data analysis techniques include normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing (t-test). So it can be concluded that a significant effect on the use of instructional video media on student learning outcomes in the subject of Computer Systems class X Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) at SMK Negeri 1 Rambah Samo. Suggestions that can be conveyed based on this research (1) the teacher explains the material using the learning video in more detail and more clearly at each stage, (2) students pay attention to the teacher when the subject matter is being explained, pay attention to the learning video that is being broadcast and note the subject matter then ask when it's not clear or can't.
