Abstract
The research is purposed to know how motivational factors consisting of salary and social security, career expectation, managerial role, employee competence, work type, job equipment, work environment, and company policy—influence employee performance at a telecommunication company in West Java. The research is a survey one to generate scientific information using explanatory research. Data of the research is analyzed with a simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. Besides, the research experiences t-test, F-test, correlation coefficient, and determination coefficient calculated with an SPSS Version 12 program. Results of the research indicate that motivational factors have, both individually and collectively, significant influences on employee performance, with employee competence being the most dominant factor influencing employee performance at a telecommunication company in West Java. Hasil perhitungan regresi berganda terhadap pasangan data faktor-faktor motivasi (gaji dan jaminan sosial, harapan untuk berkarir, peranan para manajer, kompetensi karyawan, jenis pekerjaan, kelengkapan kerja, lingkungan kerja, kebijakan perusahaan) dengan kinerja karyawan diperoleh persamaan regresi Ŷ = 8,232 + 0,232X1 + 0,074X2 + 0,177X3 + 0,716X4 + 0,015X5 + 0,054X6 + 0,112X7 + 0,1X8. Dengan kata lain gaji dan jaminan sosial mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan Perusahaan Jasa Telekomunikasi Jawa Barat. Koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 0,402, sehingga mencerminkan bahwa antara gaji dan jaminan sosial dengan kinerja karyawan memiliki hubungan positif. Kemudian dari perhitungan statistik juga diperoleh koefisien korelasi, yakni sebesar 0,41 dan koefisien determinasi 0,168, sehingga mencerminkan bahwa antara peranan para manajer dengan kinerja karyawan memiliki hubungan positif dengan kontribusi sebesar 16,8%. Besaran nilai korelasi ini mencerminkan bahwa antara jenis pekerjaan dengan kinerja karyawan memiliki hubungan positif dan kontribusinya sebesar 8,9%
