Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of clean culture in developing awareness of environmental hygiene in students at the state Elementary School 07 Bengkulu City. This research uses qualitative types with descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects of this study are students, teachers, principals, janitors and traders in the school canteen. Data collection techniques used observations, interviews and documentation. Analytical techniques are conducted during the field and analysis after the field by studying the entire data collected in a narrative. The results of the research obtained are: a) clean culture programs in state Elementary School 07 Bengkulu City, the Program; Adiwiyata School, classroom cleanliness, school environment cleanliness, clean Saturdays, and waste management; b) Methods applied in efforts to develop awareness of environmental hygiene by exemplary, habituation, and learning; c) The school prepares hygiene facilities and infrastructure; d) in supporting the clean culture of the school principal, teachers, janitors and traders canteen actively support. Conclusions gained that the state elementary School 07 Bengkulu City has implemented a clean culture through the above programs and has developed a concern for the cleanliness of the environment in the school residents.
