Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of work environment, compensation and competence on employee performance at PT. Barata Indonesia (Persero) Case Study of the Gempolkrep Project partially and simultaneously. This study has a population of 104 at PT. Barata Indonesia (Persero) – Gempolkrep Mojokerto Project and using 83 respondents, so this study uses simple random sampling technique and Slovin formula in sampling with a target number of 83 respondents. This study uses a questionnaire which is distributed using google form with the help of social media. And then the data is managed and tested using the SPSS 26 software application. All statements in this research questionnaire have met the requirements and have been declared valid and reliable. The results of the classical assumption test on the normality test are normally distributed. In the heteroscedasticity test there is no heteroscedasticity problem and the multicollinearity test is not exposed to multicollinearity problems.Based on the hypothesis test using the t test, it shows that partially the work environment has no positive and insignificant effect with a t-count value (-0.111) < (2.020), while compensation with a t-count value of 2.524 and competence with a t-count value of 5.793 this states that this variable has a positive and significant influence on the performance of employees at PT. Barata Indonesia (Persero) Gempolkrep Project Case Study because the value of t count is greater than t table with a value of 2,020. Meanwhile, the hypothesis test using the F test shows that simultaneously there is a positive and significant influence between the work environment, compensation, and competence on the performance of employees at PT. Barata Indonesia (Persero) Gempolkrep Project Case Study. This is indicated by the value of the calculated F results from the work environment, compensation, and competence variables of 3.328 while the F table value is 2.833, this proves that the calculated F value > F table and can be interpreted that simultaneously the variables of work environment, compensation, and competence has a significant effect on employee performance variables.
