Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of resistance band training on the shooting ability of basketball players at the Rongqing Banjarmasin club. The research method used was pre-experimental with the form of a one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was 20 people, sampling was carried out using a total sampling technique. The instrument used for the test is to put as many balls into the ring as possible within 30 seconds. This research data collection technique uses SPSS. Treatment was measured from the pretest-posttest difference using the paired samples t-test. The results of the paired samples t-test showed a significance value of 0.000, smaller than 0.05 and the average result data was 3.35, the standard deviation was 1.899, the test results obtained the highest score of 7 and the lowest score of 1. After being treated with muscle strength training arms through resistance band training there is a significant increase in basketball shooting results. This is proven by the results of their final three point shooting test with an average of 6.50, the highest score was 13, and the lowest score was 3. It was concluded that there was an influence of resistance band training on the shooting ability of basketball athletes.
