Experimental method in one group without comparison using pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was athletes from SMP Negeri 1 Rejoso, Nganjuk Regency, class VIII. The sample size used in this study was 32 Men athletes. The sampling technique in this study was Purposive random sampling. The variables studied are free variables consisting of two reactors, namely manipulative variables and attributive variables and one dependent variable. Manipulative variables have two treatments, including giving Uphill sprint exercises, and Downhill sprints. While the attributive variable in this study is the strength of the leg muscles which are distinguished by high and low. The dependent variable of the study is the increase in sprints of 100 meters. Data collection techniques with tests and measurements, leg muscle strength data with leg and back dynamometers. The data analysis techniques used for hypothesis testing are the 2-lane design Variance Analysis (ANOVA) and the Newman-Keuls range test, at a significance level of 95%. The results of the study that Uphill sprint training has a different improvement from Downhill sprint training. From the calculation results obtained Fhit = 12.5641 greater than Ftabel = 2.95 (F0 > Ft) at a signification level of 5%. This means that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. This means that the Uphill sprint practice has different improvements than the Downhill sprint practice is acceptable. The results of this study showed that players who had low leg muscle strength had a 100-meter sprint increase which was different from players who had high leg muscle strength. This is evidenced by the value of Fhit = 4.2619 greater than Ftabel = 2.95 (F0 > Ft) at a signification level of 5%. This means that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. This means that athletes who have low leg muscle strength have a 100-meter sprint that is different from high leg muscle strength players, it is acceptable. The results of this study also showed that there was an interaction between the influence of plyometric exercise and a significant level of leg muscle strength, which was shown by F0 = 23.4810 greater than Ft = 2.95 at a signification level of 5% so that H0 was rejected, so it can be concluded that there was a significant interaction between the influence of plyometric exercise and the level of leg muscle strength. Players who have low leg muscle strength are more appropriately given the Uphill sprint training treatment to increase the sprint by 100 meters. Downhill sprint training treatment is more appropriately given to athletes who have high leg muscle strength.

Effects of acute exercise varying in duration and intensity, as well as of two training regimes (endurance and sprint training) on the sensitivity of the soleus muscle of rat to insulin was measured in vitro and compared in rats. As an index of the muscle insulin sensitivity the hormone concentration in the incubation medium which would produce half maximum stimulation of lactate production (LA) and glycogen synthesis was determined. A single bout of moderate endurance exercise (60 min treadmill running at 20 m x min-1, 0 degrees inclination) increased the rate of LA production at the hormone concentrations used and increased the sensitivity of the process to insulin at 0.25 and 2 h but not 24 h after termination of exercise. Similar though less pronounced effects were found after heavy endurance exercise (30 min at 25 m x min-1, 10 degrees), but sprint exercise (6 x 10 s bouts at 43 m x min-1, 0 degrees) had no influence on the insulin sensitivity of the soleus muscle. The rate of glycogen synthesis in vitro was accelerated after endurance exercise, but the sensitivity of this process to insulin was unaffected by the preceding exercise. Endurance training for 5 weeks caused marked enhancement of sensitivity of both LA production and glycogen synthesis to insulin, which persisted for at least 48 h after the last training session. No changes in the soleus muscle sensitivity to insulin were found after sprint training. It is concluded that the increased insulin sensitivity of glucose utilization by skeletal muscle which occurs after endurance exercise and particularly during endurance training can substantially contribute to improved carbohydrate tolerance.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)

While in Indonesia the prevalence of dysmenorrhea in Indonesia is 107,673 people (64.25%), consisting of 59,671 people (54.89%) primary dysmenorrhea, and 9,496 people (9.36%) secondary dysmenorrhea. Based on research data, the incidence of dysmenorrhea in West Java is quite high, namely 54.9% of women experience dysmenorrhea. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of Hot Herbal Compress against dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls in increasing the provision of alternative therapy as complementary therapy. Research Methods: This research is a quantitative research with True Experiment Design, namely Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. In this design, there are two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group which were chosen randomly, then given a pretest to determine the initial state, is there a difference between the experimental group and the control class. The sample was divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group with a research time of 1 month. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with the provision of inclusion criteria. Data analysis used paired sample t-test. Results: Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that the most respondents with an average age of 14-16 (middle adolescents) who experience dysmenorrhea are 15 respondents (50%). Based on the results of data analysis, it showed that the use of Hot Herbal Compress was effective in relieving dysmenorrhea, namely as many as 8 respondents (53.33%) did not feel dysmenorrhea after the intervention. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that the use of warm compresses is less effective in relieving dysmenorrhea, namely as many as 9 respondents (60.00%) still feel dysmenorrhea with mild pain intensity. Based on data analysis, it is known that in the treatment group the results of the Paired Sample t-test can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the intervention group before and after treatment (p = 0.000). So, the effectiveness of giving interventions to the treatment group is larger when compared to the control group both before and after being given hot herbal compresses.
