Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of transformational leadership on employee performance at the Development Planning Agency at Sub-National Level (BAPPEDA) of Southeast Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted at the Development Planning Agency at Sub-National Level (BAPPEDA) office in Southeast Sulawesi Province. The design of this research is associative explanatory research. The population of this study is 116 employees at the Development Planning Agency at Sub-National Level of Southeast Sulawesi Province. Sampling in this study was carried out proportionally as many as 53 people. To answer the problem in this research, simple linear regression data analysis is used. The results of this study illustrate that transformational leadership observed from the dimensions of charisma, the influence of idealism, inspirational motivation and intellectual stimulation have a significant effect on the performance of employees at Development Planning Agency at Sub-National Level (BAPPEDA) of Southeast Sulawesi Province. This means that changes in leadership behavior in a good direction cause changes in performance in a better direction as well. Keywords : Employee, Leadership, Performance, Transformational
