Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether the ability to read al-Qur'an can affect the learning outcomes of Arabic subjects of VIII grade students of MTs Ma'arif Pajaresuk Pringsewu. In this study using quantitative methods, data collection methods used are interviews, tests and documentation. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTs Ma'arif Pajaresuk Pringsewu as many as 73 students with saturated sampling techniques so that the entire population was sampled. Analysis of the data used in this study was the t-test and the coefficient of determination. Based on the calculation results, it was found that there was a significant influence between the ability to read the al-Qur'an could affect the learning outcomes of Arabic subjects of VIII grade students of MTs Ma'arif Pajaresuk Pringsewu. Evidenced by the regression coefficient of the ability to read the al-Qur'an at 0728x, meaning that the higher the ability to read the al-Qur'an in students, the higher the Arabic learning outcomes obtained by students. The influence of the ability to read al-Qur'an on positive Arabic learning outcomes, so the ability to read the al-Qur'an as an independent variable will have an impact on increasing the dependent variable learning outcomes of Arabic. In testing the hypothesis obtained the results of tcount of 11,939> ttable of 1.666, so reject H0, which means there is a significant influence between the ability to read the al-Qur'an to the learning outcomes of Arabic.
