Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence and organizational commitment on teacher performance at SMA Negeri 1 Kendari with the following problem: 1) what is the description of the teacher’s emotional intelligence, the teacher’s organizational commitment, and the teacher’s performance in SMA Negeri 1 Kendari. 2) are there positive and significant influence of emotional intelligence on teacher performance. 3) is there a postive and significant influence on the teacher’s organizational commitment to the performance of teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Kendari. 4) are the positive and significant influences of emotional intelligence and organiztional commitmen on teacher performance SMA Negeri 1 Kendari.This type of research is quantitative research. Data collection techniques used are questionaires and documentation. This study uses a questionnaire technique which is flown from each variable isntrument grid. The analysis technique used is using descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis.Based on the result of the study revealed that there is a positive and significant influence on emotional intelligence and organizational commitment to teacher performance in SMA Negeri 1 Kendari. Research results can be proven. Based on the calculation Fcount is greater than Ftable or 38.144>3.32, the Ho is rejected by H1 and received with a significance of 0.000<0.05. and the magnitude of contribution of variables X1 and X2 to variable Y is obtained by the coefficient of determination equal to 0.711 or 71%. Then means that the variables of emotional intelligence and organizational commitment of teachers contribute to improving teacher performance by 71 % and the remaining 29 % is determined by other variables outside the variables studied.Keyword: Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Commitment, and teachers performance AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kecerdasan Emosional dan Komitmen Organisasi Terhadap Kinerja Guru di SMA Negeri 1 Kendari dengan sasaran permasalahan (1) Bagaimana gambaran Kecerdasan Emosional Guru, Komitmen Organisasi Guru, dan Kinerja Guru di SMA Negeri 1 Kendari, (2) Apakah terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan Kecerdasan Emosional Terhadap Kinerja Guru, (3) Apakah terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan Komitmen Organisasi Guru Terhadap Kinerja Guru di SMA Negeri 1 Kendari, (4) Apakah terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan Kecerdasan Emosional dan Komitmen Organisasi Terhadap Kinerja Guru di SMA Negeri 1 Kendari.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan sampel 34 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket serta dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan tehnik angket yang dikembangkan dari kisi-kisi instrument variabel masing-masing. Adapun tekhnik analisis yang digunakan adalah menggunakan statistic deskriptif dan analisis statistic inferensial.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terungkap bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan Kecerdasan Emosional dan Komitmen Organisasi terhadap Kinerja Guru di SMA Negeri 1 Kendari. Dapat dibuktikandari hasil penelitian, berdasarkan perhitungan diperoleh fhitung lebih besar dari ftabel atau 38.144>3.32, maka Ho ditolak H1 diterima dengan signifikansi 0.000<0.05. Dan besarnya sumbangan konstribusi Variabel X1 dan X2 terhadap Variabel Y diperoleh koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.711 atau 71%. Artinya variabel kecerdasan emosional dan komitmen organisasi guru memberikan konstribusi terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru sebesar 71% dan sisanya 29% ditentukan oleh variabel lain di luar variabel yang diteliti.Kata kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional, Komitmen Organisasi, Kinerja Guru
