Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of online game addiction on students' learning motivation in sociology subjects at MAS AL – Muhajirin Sintang. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative, the population taken is students who play online games. In determining the sample for this study using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient (R), and coefficient of determination (R2). Based on the results of the calculation analysis that has been carried out, it was obtained that Fcount (equal variance not assumption) is 1,473 distribution tables sought at a significance level of 5% with a sample of 40 so that Ftable is 4.08, it can be concluded that Fcount < Ftable (1.473 < 4.08 ) then Ho is accepted and Ha was rejected, it meant that there was no influence between online game addiction (X) on students' learning motivation (Y) in sociology subjects.Keywords: Learning Motivation, Online Game Addiction, Student
