Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of local potential-based Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning on student learning outcomes in the teaching profession course. This type of research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The sample of this research is the Biology Education Study Program FSTT Mandalika University who program the teaching profession course. The research instrument was in the form of student learning outcomes questions consisting of 6 questions in essay form. Data on student learning outcomes were analyzed descriptively. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the pretest average score reached 67 increased to 89 on the posttest, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on student learning outcomes.
