Abstract

This research was aimed: 1) to know the efficacy of acetic acid mixture with lerak fruit extract as herbicide in controlling Paspalum conjugatum, Cyperus kyllingia, and Asystasia gengetica; 2) to determine the most effective mixture of acetic acid and lerak fruit extract on controlling Paspalum conjugatum, Cyperus kyllingia, and Asystasia gengetica. This research was conducted at Integrated Field Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung from November to December 2016. The research design used was Completely Randomized Design of one factor, namely the mixture of acetic acid and lerak fruit extract with the ratio of 10:90, 20:80, 30:70, 40:60, 50:50, 60:40, 70:30, 80 : 20, 90:10, 0: 100, 100: 0, and 0: 0 (control) with four replications. The results showed that: 1) the addition of lerak fruit extract us adjuvant can decrease the us of acetic acid by 40% for controling Paspalum conjugatum, 30% for Cyperus kyllingia, and 50% for Asystasia gengetica on weed poisoning level; 2) The most effective combination of acetic acid and lerak fruit extract in controlling the weeds is the mixture of 60% acetic acid and 40% lerak fruit extract. Keywords: acetic acid, effectivity, lerak fruit extract, herbicide.
