Abstract
Case 1 A 14-year-old boy was admitted to the emergency room (ER) in shock with gunshot wounds (GSWs) to the left lateral abdominal wall and the right flank. On physical examination, he had decreased breath sounds in the right chest, paraplegia, and gross hematuria. After right tube thoracostomy, he was transported immediately to the operating room (OR). At laparotomy, the following injuries were identified:
