Abstract

Basic education is the right time to instill moral values ​​in students. However, most students are still unable to implement Pancasila values ​​in everyday life. So we need a form of learning that can improve character life in accordance with Pancasila values. This classroom action research aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model using comic media. This research was conducted in two cycles consisting of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research participants were fifth grade students in Nganjuk Regency consisting of 15 students who were selected as a purposive sampling. Data was collected through post test and class observation. The treatment in this study is the application of the PjBL model in learning. The results showed that the application of the PjBL model using comics in the second cycle was able to significantly improve student learning outcomes. In addition, the results of class observations show that students are more involved, motivated and active in the learning process. Overall, this study shows that the PjBL model is effective in improving student learning outcomes. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating Pancasila education as character building and collaborative learning in the classroom to improve student learning outcomes.
