Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research which discusses the improvement of students' mathematical learning abilities through the application of the TGT Cooperative Learning Model with ULTPYGO Learning Media. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIIB SMPN 3 Sendana. In the process of learning TGT, students play games using ULTPYGO to add knowledge related to the Pytagorean theorem material. The learning process that encourages snake and ladder games greatly influences active students in learning so as to improve student learning outcomes. Aside from just learning, students can also play like animals in general so students can easily get knowledge about the Pythagorean theorem through the ULTPYGO game. Data collection is done by giving the end of the cycle test and observation through student observation sheets. The data collected was analyzed with descriptive statistics. The percentage of students who completed learning increased from 73.91% in the first cycle to 91.30% in the second cycle and the average value in the first cycle was 67.59 while the average value in the second cycle reached 82.96. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded from the results of students' mathematics learning after the application of the TGT type Cooperative Learning Model with ULTPYGO Learning Media class VIII BSMPN 3 Sendana increases Improvement.
