Abstract

The purpose of this study was to descript of implementation of cooperative learning model of NHT type on arithmetic social class VII Karuna Dipa Palu. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The design of this study discusses the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart consists of four components, namely 1) planning, 2) implementing actions, 3) observation and 4) reflection. The subjects of this study were Grade VII students of Karuna Dipa Palu Middle School who tested 20 students. The study was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that the application of the NHT type of cooperative learning model with phases, namely: 1) delivery of goals and preparation of students, 2) presentation of information, 3) numbering, 4) asking questions, 5) mutual assistance, 6) help or advice and 7) giving awards to arithmetic social materials can improve student learning outcomes in class VII Karuna Dipa Palu.
