Abstract

Selection of the right learning model can create a learning atmosphere that is in accordance with the learning objectives. Inquiry-based learning is a process in which students engage in their learning, formulate questions, investigate extensively and then construct new understandings, meanings and knowledge. Classroom Action Research Method (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The results of cycle I PTK showed that the average value of pre-cycle student learning activeness in the active criteria of 12.5% increased to 37.5%. The results of Cycle II CAR showed that the average value increased rapidly after Cycle II, which was 62.50%. This proves that there is an increase in the value of student learning outcomes and student learning activeness. The average value of pre-cycle student learning outcomes by 50% increased to 70%. The average value of pre-cycle student activity was 63.33%, increasing to 72.5%. Based on the results of the pre-cycle and cycle 1 comparisons, it was concluded that the value of cycle I still did not meet the KKM value, so the researchers conducted cycle II PTK.
