Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of fourth grade students. The problem in the research is how the process of implementing the Cooperative Learning Model Type Guess the Word and whether the application of the Cooperative Learning Model Type Guess the word in science learning can improve student learning outcomes in grade IV UPTD SDN 34 Parepare. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. This research focuses on the process and student learning outcomes on the material wealth of energy resources in Indonesia by applying the Cooperative Learning Model Type Guess the Word. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and documentation. The research subjects were teachers and students with a total of 21 students consisting of 15 male students and 6 female students. Data analysis techniques are data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The implementation of this research was carried out in two cycles starting from pre-action activities, then each cycle consisted of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and cycles. In the first cycle, the research results obtained in the learning process, observing teacher activities are at a percentage of 73.33% with sufficient qualifications (C) and student activity observations are at a training percentage of 75.23% with sufficient qualifications (C) and learning test results are average. -average 61.81 and achieved sufficient qualification (C). While in cycle II the results obtained in the learning process observation of teacher activities are at the percentage of teachers 86.66% with good qualifications (B) and student activities are in the percentage of training 83.17% with good qualifications (Good) and student learning test results is at an average of 76.66 with good qualifications (B). The conclusion of the study is that the application of the Cooperative Learning Model Type Guess the Word can improve learning outcomes in the content of science learning material on the wealth of energy resources in Indonesia.
