Abstract

Project Based Learning is the newest learning method that uses projects or activities as a medium for student learning. Apart from that, Islamic religious education also plays a role as a partner in emphasizing moral values ​​and good character to the nation's future generations. This research was motivated by the decline in learning motivation of class IX students at SMPT Ar-Rasyid Tulungagung. So the formulation of the research problem is 1) what are the results of the implementation of Project Based Learning in PAI learning at SMPT Ar-Rasyid Tulungagung, 2) what are the obstacles and solutions to implementing project based learning in PAI learning at SMPT Ar-Rasyid Tulungagung. This research aims to identify improvements in learning outcomes for class IX students at SMPT Ar-Rosyid Tulungagung by applying the Project Based Learning learning method and to describe the obstacles and solutions to implementing project based learning in PAI learning at SMPT Ar-Rasyid Tulungagung. The research method uses the classroom action method (PTK) with stages starting from implementation planning, observation to reflection. The subjects of this research were 9 students at SMPT Ar-Rosyid Tulungagung using qualitative analysis. The results of the research showed an increase in cycle II of 83.3 from what was previously obtained in cycle I, namely 71. The conclusion was that the application of the Project Based Learning learning method was proven to help students in understanding Islamic religious education material.
