Abstract
The research entitled "Application of Islamic Business Ethics to Batik Traders in Setono Batik Wholesale Market, Pekalongan" seeks to find out how to understand Islamic business ethics and implement Islamic business ethics batik traders in Setono Batik Wholesale Market, Pekalongan.The type of research used is field research with qualitative methods carried out by descriptive analysis. Furthermore, the research approach used includes normative theological, sociological, and phenomenological approaches. With data sources divided into two, namely primary data and secondary data, for primary data sources obtained through traders and/or buyers, secondary data sources obtained from various literature relevant to the research discussion. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation; then, the collected data is analyzed through data reduction, data singing, and then concluding.The research results, first that most batik traders in the Setono wholesale market have understood Islamic business ethics as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad in trading. However, some do not know about business ethics. There are still those who do not understand Islamic business ethics. The informants' lack of understanding, namely the term business ethics is the concept of theory, especially for low-educated informants. Second, the application of Islamic business ethics, as exemplified by Rasullullah SAW, namely Siddiq, Amanah, Fathanah, and Tabliq, has been implemented and applied by most batik traders in the Setono wholesale market. Some traders are reluctant to use Islamic business ethics because they are already accustomed to a trading system that is only concerned with a profit or world profits without seeking blessings and the afterlife from doing business.
