Abstract

The need for soybeans continues to increase along with the increase in population while production continues to decline so that it must be met from imports. District Aimas has very suitable land conditions and topography for soybean development, but crop cultivation activities have not considered the need for water. The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of plant water and irrigation water according to the conditions of the land for soybean cultivation. The research was carried out using quantitative analysis methods and data analysis was carried out using the Excell and Cropwat 8.0 applications. The results showed that the total water requirement for soybean cultivation in Aimas District, Sorong Regency was 256.9 mm/dec, while the total irrigation water requirement was 0 because the effective rainfall was still greater than the total water requirement for soybean crops.
