Abstract

This paper reveals (1) the urgency of implementing good character to children from early childhood in Kindergarten; (2) field trip activity represent the application of character building process in Kinderganden; and (3) a number of characters built as an impact of applicating field trip to children in eraly childhood in Kindergarden. Besides 0-6 years in a golden age for children to absorb every coming idea, another rationale comes from al-Qur’an. Character education involve knowledge, love and the implementation of good behaviour into habitual pattern. Characters perceived ideal and important need to be internalised into every child since early childhood. These include love for God, respect and good manners, responsibility, hard work ethics, leadership and justice, creativity, humble, love for nature, and love for the people and the state. Amongst field work activities reflecting good character education are file trip to orphanage, zoo, vegetable garden, library, airport, and other places.
