Abstract

The wrting of this research aims at describing and explaining the implemtation of the supervisor’s assistance to the teachers in designing learning materials for distance teaching and learning methods. The objects of the research are all the teachers at the fostered school. Data of the research were taken from the learning materials that the teachers had made and the the result of the analyzing of the learning materials. The writer uses descriptive qualitative methods to describe and explain comprehensively and specifically related to events or phenomena that occur at this time, so that the golas of distance teaching and learning can be achieved optimally. The result of the research showed that 87.50% of the teachers were able to design learning materials for distance teaching and learning. In addition, it was also found that the role of supervision and the assistance of the school supervisor is very important for the realization. Based on the result, it can be concluded that by the assistance of the school supervisor, the teachers are able to design the learning materials as well. It is also recommended that the school supervisor should continuously assist the teachers in doing the distance teaching and learning in the new normal era, especially in designing the learning materials for the distance teaching and learning process.
