Abstract

The problem of the population in Kiniar Village, East Tondano District is the poor drainage system that can cause flooding during the rainy season. The factor of waste management in East Tondano District is one of the driving factors for blockage of water flow (drainage system). Efforts to prevent flooding and manage this waste are by making biopore infiltration holes. The purpose of this PKM activity is to increase knowledge and how to use biopore infiltration holes as appropriate technology for the community in Kiniar Village, East Tondano District. The methods used are counseling and training. In this activity, the pretest and posttest were carried out. The result of this PKM activity is an increase in participants' understanding and knowledge of the benefits of biopori. Participants' understanding of the material improved rapidly after providing materials and training on how to make biopore holes, this can be seen from the number of participants who got a score above 50 increased drastically, from the value interval 41-50 there were 11 people (31.42%), in fact, there was someone who got the highest average score between the 91-100 score interval with 2 participants (05.72%). The largest number of participants with a percentage value of 37.14% as many as 13 people were in the value interval 51-60.
