Abstract

Focal region flelds of a perfect electromagnetic conductor (PEMC) paraboloidal re∞ector placed in homogenous and reciprocal chiral medium are analyzed under the efiect of high chirality parameter. The chiral medium supports both negative phase velocity (NPV) and positive phase velocity (PPV) modes simultaneously under strong electromagnetic coupling. The geometrical optics (GO) flelds have singularities at the focal region. Therefore, to avoid these singularities Maslov's method is used for the focal region flelds. The results obtained using this method are solved numerically, and line plots for the re∞ected fleld of the paraboloidal PEMC re∞ector are obtained for difierent values of admittance of the PEMC paraboloidal re∞ector and chirality parameter of the medium.
