Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of burden management with the approach of health cadres and community leaders through family psychoeducation in overcoming the family's subjective burden in caring for clients with mental disorders. The method used is a case report. This case report was conducted in a family with a family member with a mental illness. The intervention given to families was family psychoeducation, carried out in 6 sessions involving health cadres and community leaders. The results showed that load management sessions on family psychoeducation involving the role of cadres and community leaders could reduce family burden. In conclusion, family burden management by involving health cadres and community leaders can reduce the family's subjective burden in caring for clients with mental disorders.
