Abstract
In the world, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart and blood vessels (cardiovascular) are the main causes of death. According to the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018 shows that. the prevalence of hypertension in 2018 was 63.2%. Likewise with Jombang Regency, precisely in Bandung Village, Diwek District. Hypertension sufferers in Jombang Regency in 2019 as many as 372,445 people and the estimation of Hypertension sufferers in Bandung Village, Diwek Subdistrict, Jombang Regency in 2020 amounted to 3,085, as many as 20 people experienced stroke. Bandung Village, Diwek, Jombang Regency. This community service uses counseling and training methods provided by resource persons regarding concepts, causes of complications and how to prevent them. This activity was carried out in July-December 2021. The number of health cadres involved in the DISTANSI program was 22 people. Counseling and training are divided into 6 sessions once a month for a period of 6 months, in which each session is carried out for approximately 2 hours. This activity serves to increase the knowledge of health cadres on how to prevent and overcome complications in cases of hypertension. The result of this community service is that health cadres are expected to actively participate in the DISTANSI program to prevent complications from hypertension.
