Abstract

Eichhornia Crassipes is a plant that is considered a weed because it blocks water channels and evaporates large amounts of water from nutrients. This plant has several benefits that deserve thumbs up to be developed as an animal feed ingredient because it contains high enough protein to be used as an additional processed feed for poultry livestock, especially ducks and chickens. This animal feed is very instant for its manufacture which has been given directly to ducks and chickens. One way to empower the community is to provide training to make animal feed from water hyacinth instantly and easily. The results of the training show increased livestock productivity with lower costs and increased availability of animal feed, reduced water hyacinth waste and increased nutritional quality of livestock products, thereby increasing the economic value of livestock products.
