Abstract

This chapter presents an interview with Pema Bhum, director of the Latse Contemporary Tibetan Cultural Library in New York City. Gray Tuttle of Columbia University conducted the interview, in which he asks Bhum a number of questions. Some of these questions are: What is the mission of the library? Why is the library in New York? What is Bhum's connection to the Tibetan literature being written these days? What other weaknesses does Bhum see in modern Tibetan literature?
