Abstract

Objectives: Given the frequent use of pelvic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at our institution to further characterize indeterminate pelvic masses, we sought to evaluate the accuracy of MRI in women with subsequent surgical resection of a complex adnexal mass. The primary objective of our study was to determine the accuracy of pelvic MRI in differentiating benign and malignant adnexal pathology compared to the final surgical pathology in a cohort of women who underwent both a pelvic MRI for an adnexal mass and subsequent surgical management.
