Abstract

This chapter presents case studies of Pelvic Limb Lameness in Mature Dogs. It also presents physical examination and diagnostic tests of the case studies. A 5-year-old female spayed mixed-breed dog presented for chronic history of bilateral hindlimb lameness from a shelter. A 4-year-old male castrated mixed-breed canine presented for chronic history of left hindlimb lameness that started six months ago. A 1.5-year-old female spayed Mastiff presented for evaluation of lameness of both bilateral hindlimbs. A 10-year-old spayed female Golden Retriever who presented for bilateral hindlimb lameness. She lives an active life and appears generally systemically healthy. A male castrated Yorkshire Terrier, 5 years and 9 months old, presented for right hindlimb lameness for a few months and left hindlimb lameness for four weeks. He was previously diagnosed with bilateral patellar luxation.
