Abstract

The majority of women who are members of dasa wisma in RT 15 RW 05 Hadimulyo Timur as partners in this service are housewives, so they have a lot of free time at home. To take advantage of their spare time, they are given training in making bags from rope kur which have economic value, so that they can be used as a source of family income. This training activity was carried out in three stages, namely: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. In the preparation stage partners are given socialization about the benefits of rope kur, the types of goods made from rope kur and their selling value as well as preparing the main material to be used, namely rope kur. At the implementation stage, partners are given training on how to make bags from the rope by weaving/assembling the straps by making head knots/plaits. Next is given how to connect the webbing and make several different kinds of knots. Partners are assisted in the continuation of activities for two weeks. At the evaluation stage, the results of the activities are evaluated to determine the feasibility of the bags made. The results of this activity show that the partners in this activity can make bags from various ropes. Partners can use the bag for their use or sale so it has economic value. In addition, mothers can take advantage of their free time after doing household activities with useful things.
