Abstract

Indragiri Hilir Regency is physiographically divided into several rivers and canals which have an impact on the shape of swamp ecological formations, the coast, the quality of river and sea water, the distribution of biodiversity and the utilization of coastal resources by humans. The large amount of biodiversity found in these waters is one of the factors that hinders the smooth flow of transportation using waters as a means or medium of transportation, one of which is water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes). The purpose of this study was to provide training on increasing capacity/skills in processing techniques through training in plant processing techniques into POC and providing assistance with technology packages and equipment for processing plants into POC to enable groups to process plants into POC. The results of the training and evaluation activities during the activity can be concluded that the community welcomes this activity and from the results of the questionnaire this activity provides benefits and can improve the skills of participants in terms of processing plants into POC. As for the increase in knowledge of utilization of plants processed into POC is 100%.
