Abstract

This study aims to find out the ability of students at class VIII.1 in Padang city in playing Talempong Pacik with the song Cak Din Din. This research belongs to a descriptive qualitative research. The main instrument on this study was the researcher itself and was supported by supporting instruments such as writing tools and cameras. The data were collected through interview, literature study, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by classifying the data, describing the data, and making conclusions. The results show that the students’ ability in playing Talempong Pacik with the song Cak Din Din is quite good after the learning process was evaluated. The assessment was obtained from the value of daily test results with assessment indicators including tempo and rhythmic accuracy as well as the students’ sense of musicality. The learning process was carried out in four meetings. In the fourth meeting, the learning evaluation was conducted. The learning activities were divided into three stages: preparation, process or training, and evaluation. The introduction of the song Cak Din Din was done by showing the song’s score and giving demonstrations by the teachers.Keywords: Talempong, Learning, cak din din

Pendahuluan

Majunya perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi saat ini memberi dampak yang besar kepada kepada seluruh perubahan pola kehidupan manusia. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal yang dilakukan di SMP Islam Al Azhar Padang pada tanggal 29 Februari 2020 pembelajran seni budaya khusunya seni musik pada materi praktek musik tradisional pada kelas VIII.[1] dalam pemebelajarannya yaitu praktek bermain talempong pacik dengan lagu cak din din dilihat dari cara mereka bermain pada pertemuan pertama kemampuan siswa belum maksimal hal itu dapat dilihat dari tempo yang tidak sama antara satu pola dengan pola yang lainnya. Namun tingkat keaktifan dan partisipasi siswa masih sangat rendah sehingga suasana kelas masih terasa kaku dan kurang kondusif sehingga menghambat kemampuan siswa dalam memainkan musik talempong pacik sangat rendah (belum mampu memainkannya dengan benar) dengan indikator penilaiannya yaitu (1) ketepatan tempo, (2) Ketepatan Pola ritmis, (3) musikalitas. Thn.2021 bersangkutan yaitu mengajar mata pelajaran seni budaya di kelas VIII-1 SMP Islam Al-Azhar Kota Padang ibu Rahmiyati Afrizal. supaya peneliti dapat memperoleh data baik data tertulis maupun data tidak tertulis peneliti serta peneliti juga mengumpulkan data yang berkaitan dengan sekolah melalui staff tata usaha SMP Islam Al-Azhar Kota Padang
