Abstract
The simple and efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of a new type of cross-conjugated system − 2-(R-benzylidene)-5-(R-cinnamylidene)cyclopentanones in PEG-400. The preparation of these compounds by two routes from 2-(R-benzylidene)cyclopentanones and 2-cinnamylidenecyclopentanone was considered.
