Peer Review Declaration Form Guidance

Abstract

All conference organisers/editors are required to declare details about their peer review. We will published the information you provide as part of your proceedings. Peer review declaration All papers published in this volume of IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science have been peer reviewed through processes administered by the Editors. Reviews were conducted by expert referees to the professional and scientific standards expected of a proceedings journal published by IOP Publishing. Type of peer review: Double-blind The identities of the authors were concealed to the reviewers as they only received the manuscript to be reviewed without the authors’ identities. The names of reviewers were also kept anonymous to the authors as they only received the reviewers’ comments and recommendation. • Conference submission management system: EasyChair • Number of submissions received: 58 • Number of submissions sent for review: 58 • Number of submissions accepted: 47 • Acceptance Rate (Number of Submissions Accepted / Number of Submissions Received X 100): 81% • Average number of reviews per paper: 2 • Total number of reviewers involved: 52 • Any additional info on review process: Upon closing of the submission of manuscript for GGT2021 (2 November 2020 – then were extended to 16 November 2020), the review process started. At least, 2 reviewers were assigned to each manuscript. The reviewers were given 14 days to complete their reviews. The criteria used in reviewing the manuscripts are manuscript’s relevancy to conference’s theme and topics, paper contents and organisation (originality, clarity of problems and solution presentation). The reviewers also need to advise the editors whether the manuscripts should be accepted or not for the conference. The originality of the manuscripts was also checked by using plagiarism checker (Turnitin). The authors were then given conditional acceptance starting from 6 January 2021. They were required to revise their manuscripts as recommended by reviewers. If the results of plagiarism checking for a manuscript exceeds 30%, the authors were advised to revise their manuscripts too. Only the papers that had revise their manuscripts according to the recommendation were then fully accepted to be presented in the conference. The authors were given until 1 February 2021 to submit the revised manuscript.
