Abstract
This special issue serves as a “Call to Action.” It shows how research on peer relations can be used to expand our knowledge about critical social forces and concepts including race, socioeconomic status and inequality, culture, genders, refugee status. It poses a challenge to peer researchers. We can use our variables and methods to promote our understanding of what it means to grow up in particular social circumstances.
