Abstract

The development of teacher competences is an important issue in various countries, including Indonesia. Improving teacher competences is described in various programs of the Ministry of National Education. In 2017 the Indonesian government passed a regulation on Teacher Education Standards, the regulation regulates in detail the learning outcomes program for prospective teachers, this is intended to ensure that prospective teachers have competences. One of the compulsory subjects that must be taken by prospective teachers is microteaching. Learning about how to teach requires feedback, coaching to monitor and improve teaching performance. During the Covid-19 pandemic, micro teaching is carried out online. This of course requires a strategy so that prospective teachers still have teaching skills. In general, during micro teaching, prospective teachers will take turns doing teaching practices and then get feedback from their supervisor lecturer. Different from the general conditions, this research is focused on the implementation of peer feedback. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of peer feedback on teaching skills. The research subjects are all students who take micro teaching courses for the 2020/2021 academic year. The research data shows that students’ teaching skills have increased, 70% of students have increased with high criteria, 26% with medium criteria, and 4% with low criteria.
