Abstract
Spanish liberals tried to find a constitutional king for Spain. King Pedro, constitutional imperator of Brazil, became king of Portugal after his father’s dead, bestowing his kingdom a Constitutional Charter, which convinced the Spanish liberals on his liberal beliefs. This compulsory exile did not made them forget their ideology, on the contrary, they followed on searching the establishment of a constitutional system in order to guarantee a political life within liberal schemas.
