Co-Director of the Pediatric Links to the Community Program University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry Rochester, NY The Children's Advocacy Project of Philadelphia (Cap4Kids) was developed in 2004 to help busy practitioners learn more about social service agencies, advocacy programs, and laws in their geographic area. The project was started by pediatric residents Raj Raman and, subsequently, Payal Maniar at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, with attending oversight by Dan Taylor, director of the residency advocacy program. They realized that most physicians were not aware of the myriad social service agencies in their area and, therefore, compiled a comprehensive, verified, up-to-date list of relevant organizations in Philadelphia.
