Abstract

In this issue of the Atlas of the Urologic Clinics, the contributors discuss common surgical procedures and newer techniques in pediatric urology. Although these procedures are fundamental to the care of the pediatric urologic patient, each article in this issue provides readers with the individual author's nuances that he or she finds improves success rates. Common pediatric urologic procedures remain a significant part of the practice of most general urologists and although there is a significant degree of subspecialization inherent to pediatric urology, the expectation is that the general urologist will continue to perform more common procedures in children.
