Abstract
<i>Pediatric Neuro-ophthalmology</i>fills a much needed niche in ophthalmic education. This textbook is aimed at residents and practitioners, and is designed to familiarize the reader with the gamut of neuro-ophthalmologic disorders that are peculiar to infants and children. It has long been acknowledged that children are not miniature adults, and this dictum is particularly true of the developing neuro-visual system. The disorders covered in this textbook require a unique approach that uses knowledge and skills from the fields of general pediatrics, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuro-ophthalmology. This book is a multiauthored volume, with each chapter written by one or two different experts, although Dr Tomsak contributes to two chapters. The book aims to convey an overview of the major issues in pediatric neuro-ophthalmology, and therein succeeds.
