Abstract

The presence and severity of pediatric dyslipidemia is directly associated with atherosclerotic burden and the risk for premature cardiovascular disease in adulthood. The pediatric lipid screening and treatment practices, attitudes, and perceived barriers of Canadian pediatricians are not known. We sought to evaluate this in a survey of pediatricians through the Canadian Pediatric Surveillance Program (CPSP), with a particular focus on pediatricians who provide primary care.
