Abstract
Pediatric emergency department (ED) discharge failure, defined as ED return within 72 hours or more, poor compliance or comprehension, carries significant clinical implications such as unfinished treatments, progression of illness. Therefore, identifying risk factors for pediatric ED discharge failure would serve to design better interventions to improve patient care. This systemic review aimed at identifying risk factors and interventions trying to reduce discharge failure.
