Abstract
AbstractThis introductory chapter gives a brief historical overview of pediatric dentistry within the evolution of dentistry and how this beneficially affected child oral health worldwide. It nevertheless discusses the importance of upbringing inequalities in oral health and dental service among different populations or population sections. It highlights technological improvements and new trends for pediatric dentistry in the future while addressing the children’s rights and how these deserve full respect throughout the world.
