Abstract
The diagnostic evaluation and treatment of children with cranial nerve palsies is markedly different from that of adults. Genetic, traumatic, inflammatory, and compressive etiologies are common. Unlike adults, vascular etiologies are rare. Treatment entails addressing factors such as amblyopia and fusion. This manuscript will outline the etiologies, diagnostic work-up, and treatment of cranial nerve palsies in children.
